چکیده

Sustainable food production has become increasingly important. Soilless cultivation systems offer several advantages, such as water and nutrient use efficiency, can be implemented where traditional agriculture is impossible. Bioponic locally or regionally available sources from organic waste streams (either fluid solid) thus contribute to closing cycles locally. Bioponics harnesses the metabolic processes of microorganisms which release nutrients matter. This study aimed set up a bioponic system, by using biogas digestate concentrate biochar sources, promoting including biofilter in system. The development quality, plant growth, quality was monitored extensively. In addition, influence either fungal biocontrol agent Trichoderma atrobrunneum UV-C treatment solution on health growth investigated. Three with Lactuca sativa (“HAWKING” Salanova®) (BP), hydroponic (HP), soil (SO) were performed. showed that healthy lettuces could produced BP systems, despite salt accumulation solution. sap analyses, cultivated contained less nitrate but more ammonium chloride. yield grown intermediate, compared HP SO. fungus, T. atrobrunneum, strain, T720, survived soilless systems. Compared SO shoot height application Trichoderma, significantly increased. application, higher chlorophyll flavonoid content, lower observed. fresh weight lettuce roots treatment. Cultivating plants requires commitment experience producers. within system externally, increase levels) help rapidly convert ammonium-rich fertilizer plant-available nutrients. Unlike conventional are released slowly over time, requiring close monitoring adjustments. conclusion, for human consumption used some beneficial growth.

Soil and Soilless Cultivation Influence on Nutrients and Heavy Metals Availability in Soil and Plant Uptake

Nowadays, most countries especially in arid and dry climate zones had experienced the water scarcity problems. In the agricultural sector, freshwater play a major role to supply water for the plant grows. Thus, the reuse of wastewater as alternative water resources in agricultural is highly recommended. However, wastewater is always contaminated despite after secondary treatment. Along benefici...

Possibilities for Soilless Cultivation in Cut Chrysanthemum: Effect of Irrigation Frequencies and Spacing Schedules

Three levels of irrigation frequencies, provided by root misting, combined with three plant densities and two spacing treatments were tested to evaluate the optimum conditions during the first crop stages of chrysanthemum in a soilless cultivation system (aeroponics) in an experiment conducted in autumn. The optimum misting frequency was 32’ times  min h. A higher frequency (121’) had no add...

Long-term rice cultivation stabilizes soil organic carbon and promotes soil microbial activity in a salt marsh derived soil chronosequence

Soil organic carbon (SOC) sequestration with enhanced stable carbon storage has been widely accepted as a very important ecosystem property. Yet, the link between carbon stability and bio-activity for ecosystem functioning with OC accumulation in field soils has not been characterized. We assessed the changes in microbial activity versus carbon stability along a paddy soil chronosequence shifti...

Abstract Legumes are an important source of nitrogen in stockless organic cereal production. However, substantial amounts of N can be lost from legume-grass leys prior to or after incorporation as green manure (GM). Here...

Texture, Climate, and Cultivation Effects on Soil Organic Matter Content in U.S. Grassland Soils

Soil organic C content, a major source of system stability in agroecosystems, is controlled by many factors that have complex interactions. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the major controls over soil organic carbon content, and to predict regional patterns of carbon in range and cultivated soils. We obtained pedon and climate data for 500 rangeland and 300 cultivated soils in the U.S...
